At Project Community, our mission is to reduce injury and save lives, by giving students the information they need before tragedy strikes. Our practical presentations teach students what to do in real life situations. The recent epidemic of sexual assaults among students compelled us to launch our Sexual Assault program, which teaches prevention and intervention

Statistics show:

  • 1 in 4 college women will experience non-consensual sexual penetration; and
  • 1 in 16 college men will be sexually assaulted.

Our Sexual Assault program teaches students how to recognize when someone is at risk for sexual assault; safe and practical strategies to intervene to prevent sexual assault; the connection between sexual assault and binge-drinking; and the meaning of affirmative consent.

Part 1:

A video reenactment of an evening out with friends that leads to sexual assault.

Part 2:

An interactive presentation correcting myths and providing facts about sexual assault–particularly the issue of affirmative consent. The program identifies factors that contribute to sexual assault and teaches bystanders how to intervene.
